CHS AFJROTC Honor Guard Wins Big at Drill Meet
April 7, 2016
The Cabot High School AFJROTC Honor Guard took home several big honors last weekend.
Every year, the team travels to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Union Drill Meet. AFJROTC is a group of highly respected, motivated, and intelligent leaders at Cabot High School.
The Honor Guard consists of an armed team, unarmed team, and a color guard. Armed team consists of rifles while unarmed does not involve rifles. Both teams break into two parts which is regulation and exhibition.
Regulation is a set of basic military steps that must be done with professionalism. Exhibition is where the cadets have full control over the moves they choose to do, the only requirement is meeting time limit.
AFJROTC took home several trophies including 1st Place Overall. They have won this trophy three years in a row now and plan on keeping that tradition. The team also won 1st Place in Inspection, 1st Place Color Guard, 2nd Place Armed Exhibition, and 3rd Place Unarmed Regulation.
Congratulations CHS AFJROTC Honor Guard for doing an outstanding job!
