Five Cabot Elementary Schools Receive $267,800 In Reward Funds

The Cabot School District is extremely proud of our students, teachers, and staff for being awarded $267,800 in School Recognition Program Funds from the Arkansas Department of Education.

The Arkansas School Recognition Program was created to provide financial awards to public schools that experience high student performance, student academic growth, and for secondary schools, high graduation rate. Awards are based on the state required assessment information from the 2022-23 school year.

Five of our elmentary schools will receive a share of the approximately $6.95 million in reward money.

Mountain Springs Elementary - $47,100

Top 6%-10%
Eastside Elementary - $27,100
Ward Central Elementary - $21,400

Top 5% Growth/Grad
Mountain Springs Elementary - $47,100
Stagecoach Elementary - $48,200
Ward Central Elementary - $42,800
Westside Elementary - $34,100

*Mountain Springs received two rewards in performance and growth totaling $94,200

GRAND TOTAL: $267,800

We applaud our students and staff at Mountain Springs Elementary, Eastside Elementary, Ward Central Elementary, Stagecoach Elementary and Westside Elementary for this great achievement. This is a tremendous acknowledgement to all their hard work and dedication.

We are Panther Proud of all of our schools! We know each and every one of our buildings are working diligently to ensure the overall success of their students last year. 

Schools receiving recognition funds are required to establish a committee to determine how to use the funds. In the past, the district has focused on purchasing additional technology, educational equipment, and materials.
