Dr. Thurman to Step Down, Cabot Schools To Start Superintendent Search

On December 17, 2024, the Cabot Public Schools Board of Education accepted the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman, effective June 30, 2025.

Board President Joe Trusty states, “The Board is grateful for Dr. Thurman’s dedication and positive impact over his decades-long leadership of our District. There is much to be proud of as a result. Dr. Thurman will continue serving the District for the next six months as he always has done - with focus, purpose, and a desire to keep us moving forward.”

The Board will soon begin the important process of selecting the next superintendent and is committed to finding the leader who can build upon the District’s very strong foundation. This individual will embody the mission and values that guide our work and help propel the District to even greater achievements. The District is committed to updating our community as the search progresses.
