March School Board Recognition 2022

April 5, 2022

Several of our Cabot schools, staff, and students were recognized at the March School Board meeting.

Arkansas School Recognition Program

The Cabot School District is extremely proud of our students, teachers, and staff for being awarded $167,150 in Recognition Program Funds from the Arkansas Department of Education.

Five of our elementary schools received rewards for achieving high student performance and student academic growth. These schools included Mountain Springs Elementary, Magness Creek Elementary, Stagecoach Elementary, Ward Central Elementary, and Ward Central Elementary.

A big thank you to Representative Cameron Cooper for making a special visit to our March School Board meeting to congratulate our principals in person. We were honored that Representative Cooper could celebrate their academic success with us.

AR School Recognition Program

You may remember, Governor Asa Hutchinson presented these checks and recognized our schools in a special celebration in March.

Students selected for All-State are pursued to attend colleges and universities to play in band. These students are offered a great amount of money even if they do not major in music.

All-State Choir

Students auditioned for the All-Region Choir in October, where they had to sing excerpts of pieces they've been working on. The top 20 in each section were eligible to audition for the All-State Choir in February. They had to learn all new music for this as well as sight read a small piece in their audition. The top 50 in each section were named to the Arkansas All-State Choir, which is a huge honor!
