Jerry Bridges, Retired Panthers Basketball Coach, Inducted into AHSCA Hall of Fame

Jerry Bridges, former Cabot High School Boys Basketball Coach, was recently inducted into the Arkansas High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame on July 9, 2021. The banquet was held at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
Coach Bridges was one of seven coaches to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Other inductees included Kathleen Bell (Texarkana), Jim Cox (Fordyce), Billy Murray (Earle), Joe Nooner (West Memphis), Ellis ‘Scooter’ Register (McClellan/El Dorado/Catholic) and Boyd Shelton (Bentonville).

Coach Bridges spend thirty-one years as a High School Boys Basketball Coach and three years as an Athletic Director for a total of thirty-four years. Coach Bridges led all four schools he coached, in three different classifications, to a State Championship title game, winning three State Championship titles and two State Runner Up titles. Coach Bridges also led the Cabot Panthers to their first ever State Championship title in 2016.
