CJHS Students Receive Academic Awards

Hundreds filled the gymnasium of Cabot Junior High South to watch many students receive recognition for their academic achievement Tuesday night. Our students work hard throughout the school year and this awards ceremony acknowledges their academic dedication and commitment.
Academic Award - Students are selected by their teachers for the highest academic performance in each subject area.
Dakota Hawkins Award - One student was selected by administrators for his perseverance, leadership, and positive attitude.
Presidential Award for Academic Excellence - 88 8th grade students were recognized for maintaining a 3.5 grade point average both years and scored at least in the 85th percentile or advanced on standardized tests.
South Super Student - 22 students were nominated by at least three teachers for using their leadership skills and positive attitude to affect the school climate at CJHS.
Principal's Award - 8 8th grade students received this award and recognition for maintaining a 4.0 GPA both years at CJHS.
Perfect Attendance Award - Two students received this awards for not missing any classes during this school year. (The only exceptions are for an absence due to school-related activities)
All A Honor Roll - 13 students received all A's on their report cards this school year.
A/B Honor Roll - 66 students received all A/B's on their report cards.
Cabot Junior High South, along with the Cabot School District, is extremely proud of these students and hope they continue to excel in academics throughout their school year.
