Hundreds of Cabot Middle School North students recently shared an out-of-this-world experience. On Friday, May 1st, they blasted off to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.
Nearly 300 students, 56 chaperones, 26 staff members and two volunteers spent the weekend exploring space. To help students pay for the trip, 14 scholarships were given through private donations as well as local organizations.
Some of the activities included seeing an I-Max movie, visiting museum exhibits about the space program and space program history, experiencing simulators like G-Force (lack of gravity) and the multi-axis trainer.

The purpose of the trip is to help students learn about space and to inspire students to work towards careers in the space program.
For many students of these 5th graders, this was their first time to travel out of state and everyone had a blast!
