Fishing, Fire Safety and Face Painting at Eastside

November 13, 2014

Nov. 13th, 2014

Eastside Elementary students had a blast at their annual Fall Festival. Some of the events included face painting, fire safety and fishing.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission brought their mobile fish tank. Students also learned about bait casting, animal furs, and duck calling!  Farm Bureau was even on hand to educate students about bike and ATV safety.

The Cabot Fire Department taught students about fire safety. Students practiced getting out of a window in case of fire. Along with the fire department, students also met police officers from the Cabot Police Department and toured an ambulance.

Eastside students also enjoyed a hayride around the school and face painting!  Inside, students enjoyed a puppet show and guest speakers read books about fall.

It was a wonderful day of hands-on learning and celebrating the Fall Festival at Eastside!
