Cabot Middle School South Goes Back In Time
October 31, 2014
Oct. 31st, 2014
Hundreds of students, staff and parents traveled back in time Friday.
It's all part of the annual Frontier Festival. The festival highlights foods, culture, dress and practices of pioneer days.
All of the 5th grade faculty, staff and students are involved and dress in period clothing. Everyone has the opportunity to watch actors perform at different stations around an authentic log cabin and demonstrate fur trading, knife making, Dutch oven cooking, quilting, clothing and even fiddling.
Students also get the chance to sing pioneer songs and play musical instruments like spoons and washboards. There is even square dancing!
This is the 18th year for the Frontier Festival.
