New School Board Officers and Dr. Thurman Honor

October 23, 2014

Senate Citation
Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman received another honor at Tuesday's (Oct. 21st) school board meeting.

Senator Eddie Joe Williams presented Dr. Thurman with a Senate Citation. In a surprise presentation back in September, Dr. Thurman received the 2015 Arkansas Superintendent of the Year Award from the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators.

Since joining the Cabot School District in 2000, Dr. Thurman's leadership and vision for excellence have elevated the district to one of the best in the state.

Senator Williams says members of the Arkansas Senate wish to join him in expressing appreciation for Dr. Thurman's contributions to the district.
