Freshman Academy Dedication and Grand Opening

The Cabot Public School District is proud to announce the building dedication and grand opening of the new Freshman Academy.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held this Monday, October 6th, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. at 18 Spirit Drive.
The 205,000 square foot facility houses more than 800 students solely dedicated to 9th graders. It opened in August of 2014 and serves as a transitional program, providing all incoming freshmen a foundation for academic success and graduation.
The Academy offers full programming to include the arts, athletics, band, career and technical programs along with core educational programs.
Four Buildings Include:
*Central courtyard for secure circulation
*70 Classrooms
*7 Science Labs
*3 Computer Labs
*Alternate Learning Suite
*Media Center
*P.E. Gymnasium with 7 locker rooms
*Instrumental and Vocal Music Suite
*Art Suite
*Drama Suite
*Stage
*Student Dining Room and Auditorium
*Separate building dedicated to Workforce Development
Members of the Cabot Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Bill Cypert, Cabot School Board, Superintendent Dr. TonyThurman, Freshman Academy Principal Tanya Spillane, as well as faculty and students will be present.
Media and the community are invited to attend and tour the state-of-the-art facility.
