Cabot Welcomes New District Leaders

April 17, 2025

The Cabot School District is proud to welcome two new members to our leadership team!

Our new Assistant Superintendent and Executive Director of Finance were recently introduced to district leaders during a special meet and greet held before the Cabot School Board meeting Tuesday evening. They will officially begin their roles on July 1.

Dr. Benjamin Darley, Assistant Superintendent
Dr. Darley will be joining our district as the new Assistant Superintendent of Cabot Public Schools! We are incredibly excited to welcome him to our team and look forward to the wealth of knowledge, experience, and leadership he brings.

Dr. Darley’s journey in education and leadership is both inspiring and impressive. Born in Mobile, Alabama, he later moved to Japan as the child of missionaries. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Ouachita Baptist University before serving as a Russian Linguist in the United States Air Force.

Following his military service, Dr. Darley transitioned into education as a Social Studies teacher with Southwest ISD in San Antonio, Texas. In 2007, he returned to Arkansas to teach Civics at Conway Public Schools, where he later served as the Lead Teacher for the CPSD Secondary ALE. His leadership experience includes roles as Assistant Principal and Principal at Conway Junior High School for a total of eight years, and since 2022, he has served as the Director of Student Services for Conway Public Schools.

“I am truly honored for the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and families of Cabot in a role that supports the success of all students,” said Dr. Darley. “I look forward to joining a team of passionate, dedicated educators and contributing to the continued excellence of Cabot Public Schools.”

We are confident that Dr. Darley’s passion for education and dedication to student success will make him a tremendous asset to our district and a great addition to our leadership team.

Mr. Kevin Luck, Executive Director of Finance
Also joining the district this summer is Mr. Luck, who will serve as the new Executive Director of Finance, replacing Mrs. Tina Wiley, who is set to retire in December. Mr. Luck brings a wealth of knowledge from his 13 years as a school business official, along with extensive experience in budgeting, financial management, personnel leadership, and facility planning.

Most recently, he served as the Director of Finance and Budgeting for Vilonia School District, managing all aspects of the district's finances and business operations. His previous professional background includes corporate financial analysis, leadership roles in private industry, and service as a U.S. Navy Division Officer.

In 2022, Mr. Luck was named the AASBO School Business Official of the Year  - a testament to his commitment to excellence, collaboration, and meticulous attention to detail.

“Working in public schools, it quickly became apparent that Cabot School District is one of the best in the state, and it is primarily because of the people who work here,” said Mr. Luck. “As the Executive Director of Finance, it is my desire to maintain the district’s already excellent financial operations and to assist in meeting its goals, ensuring Cabot students continue to receive only the highest quality education.”

Mr. Luck will begin working alongside Mrs. Wiley in July to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Darley and Mr. Luck to the Cabot School District!
