Wendel Msall Resigns from Cabot School Board

Cabot School Board member Wendel Msall submitted his resignation as a member of the Cabot School Board on Tuesday, June 10th.

Mr. Msall has held Position 4 for nine years.  He was first elected in 2005 and was re-elected in 2010.  His term was set to expire in 2015.

The Cabot Board of Education will appoint an individual to fill Position 4 within 30 days of the resignation.

Arkansas statute requires that the appointed position become an elected position at the next regularly scheduled school election which will be Tuesday, September 16, 2014.

The individual elected to Position 4 will serve the remainder of the regular term which will expire in September 2015, at which time Position 4 will return to a regular five year term.

Corey Williams, first elected in 2009, has announced that he will file for re-election to Position 1.

Petitions to file for the Cabot School Board are available between June 8, 2014 and July 8, 2014. The petition shall be filed with the county clerk during a one-week period ending at 12:00 noon seventy (70) days before the annual school election.
