The Cabot Public School's athletic training department will be hosting our annual “Parent/Athlete Sports Medicine Meeting” on Thursday evening May 29th from 6:30-8:30pm.
This meeting is for all parents/athletes that will be in 7th-12th grades for the 2014-2015 school year. The meeting will be held on the high school campus, in the high school auditorium, inside Panther Arena. This is an informative meeting for both parents and athletes in regards to athletic healthcare issues.
The Arkansas Activities Association mandates that every member school provide their parents and athletes the opportunity to learn the best medical practices when it comes to athletic healthcare issues such as:
- Exertional Heat Illness
- Communicable Diseases
- Concussions
- Pre-Participation Physical Exams
- Emergency Action Plans
Cabot Public School's athletic training staff will provide up to date information and will outline our school district's policies as they pertain to athletic medical care concerning these issues. We encourage you and your athlete to attend this meeting. It takes the parents, athlete, coach, and athletic trainers collectively to ensure that we offer a safe and healthy athletic experience. This meeting is a great way for all of us to be on the same page.
