Subway Spokesman Shares Weight Loss Story to Cabot Middle School North Students

On Wednesday, March 19th, Subway spokesman Jared Fogle visited Cabot Middle School North to speak to 5th grade students about the importance of choosing a healthy lifestyle. Mrs. Arkansas, Kellie Glisson, spoke to the students about healthy habits and to share her platform of 'Healthy Harmony', a simultaneous blend of nutrition, physical fitness and self perception.

Jared, as part of the Jared Foundation and the Subway Fresh Start Challenge, is making stops across the country encouraging students to take the Fresh Start Challenge with Subway and choosing a healthier lifestyle.

As a young adult, Jared weighed over 425 pounds and was leading a very unhealthy lifestyle. He decided to gain control of his health and chose to eat two subway sandwiches each day, lunch and dinner, for a year. After several months, Jared lost 100 pounds and after a year, lost a total of 245 pounds! Subway heard his story and asked him to do a commercial. He is still partnered with Subway and sharing his story 16 years later.
