CHS Swim Team Competes in State Meet

March 10, 2014

The Cabot High School boys and girls swim teams participated in the High School State Swim and Dive Meet that was recently held at UALR.

Senior Samantha Gray finished 3rd for diving in the 7A-6A division. The girls 200 Individual Medley Relay comprised of Jessie Baldwin (Soph.), Haylee Beckley (Soph.), Riley Young (Jr.) and Caytee Wright (Soph.), finished 3rd overall with a time of 1:59.73, which is a new CHS team record.

Individual highlights included sophomore Jessie Baldwin finishing 4th in both the 100 Backstroke and the 100 Breaststroke and setting a new CHS team record for 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:13.35.

Sophomore Haylee Beckley finished 2nd in the 200 Individual Medley and 3rd in the 500 Freestyle.

Senior Seth Fox finished 6th in the 100 Backstroke and set a new CHS team record with a time of 58.16.

Congratulations to Coach Tollett, Coach Bowen, and all the swimmers and divers that participated in the meet.
