House Built by Cabot High School Students

May 17, 2013

Cabot High School students spent this school year designing and building a house in Cabot. Students in the construction class built the house and the family consumer science class helped with the interior design.

Approximately forty juniors and seniors of Mr. Carpenter's construction class worked extremely hard and performed about 75% of the work, including the framing, windows, counter-tops, plumbing, electrical, etc.

Students recently performed tests, along with help from First Electric Cooperative, to check for air leakage in duct work and performed a blower door system test, which measured the air tightness of buildings and to help locate unwanted air infiltration.
