Transition Night at CMSN

April 22, 2013

Cabot Middle School North is already looking forward to welcoming incoming 5th grade students to middle school next year by hosting a 4th grade Parent Transition Night. Students and parents received invitations to participate in an interactive middle school experience.

Using a passport, they visited many areas such as the counseling center, nurse's station, space camp table, and PTO. They rotated through a team scenario while engaged in fun classroom activities for Math, Literacy, and Science.

Their tour also included a visit with the ENCORE group to learn information about the fun activities in P.E., music and art.

They concluded their tour in the cafeteria with a special treat of cookies and punch. Transition Night was a huge success and helped ease the stress of many students and parents who are anticipating the move to middle school.
