National Athletic Training Month

Cabot Public Schools was proud to celebrate National Athletic Training Month in March. “Every Body Needs an Athletic Trainer” was the theme for National Athletic Training Month for 2013.

Athletic trainers are health care professionals who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and sports-related illnesses.

Cabot Public Schools is one of five school districts state wide that offers the state approved Sports Medicine Curriculum. Cabot Public Schools is also one of two school districts state wide that employees multiple athletic trainers. (Head trainer Jason Cates ATC, Mitchell Batts ATC, Jonathan Elrod ATC and Lindsey Wade ATC)

Coach Crowder, Cabot High School girls basketball coach, says 'We have the best training staff in the country. We appreciate all they do for our athletes. I would like to give a special thank you, to all of our training staff.''
