HS Swim Team Competes At State Meet

The Cabot High School Swim Team competed in the Arkansas State High School Championship swim meet February 23 at UALR.

The girls finished in 3rd place overall in the state and the boys were 14th out of twenty-five teams.

Eight girls and four boys represented Cabot in relay and individual events. The girls 200 Individual Medley Relay (J.B., R.Y., H.B. and K.F.) earned a 5th place medal. The girls 200 Free Relay (J.B., R.Y., A.L. and C.W.) earned a 4th place medal. The girls 400 Freestyle Relay (H.B., E.B., A.W., and C.W.) finished in 8th place.

J.B. earned a 5th place individual medal in the 100 Backstroke.

S.F., P.J., B.B. and N.J. competed in both the 200 Individual Medley and 400 Freestyle Relay and finished 11th and 10th in those events.

Freshman C.W. finished 9th in the 50 Freestyle and competed in the 100 Freestyle, H.B. scored a 8th place finish in the 500 Freestyle and 10th in the 200 Individual Medley, P.J. competed in the 500 Freestyle and the 200 Individual Medley, and J.B. finished 8th in the 100 Breaststroke.

Sophomore R.Y. finished 8th in the 100 Freestyle and competed in the 100 Breaststroke.

Juniors S.F. and B.B. competed in the 200 Individual Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle.

Senior A.L. competed in the 50 and 100 Freestyle.
