JHS Veterans Day Celebration

November 12, 2012

On November 12, Cabot Junior High South hosted an assembly to salute America's Veterans and active members of our United States military.  Guest speaker Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas, Mark A. Darr, stated that there were over 1,000 students at Junior High South who have family in the military.  Some of the students honored the Veterans and active members with poetry thanking them for their service.  The assembly was a student led and planned event by the Junior High South's Student Council.  The reason behind this event was simple, they wanted to show excellence to their honored guests and give back to those who have given their lives for our freedom.  We appreciate the Veterans and those currently serving in the military.  Thank you for your service.
