New CHS Bell Schedule: Zero Hour

July 25, 2018

Beginning August 13th, CHS will have a new bell schedule. Zero Hour is from 7:50 a.m. - 8:25 a.m.

This new schedule allows a built in time for students to receive extra academic help, opportunities to make-up tests and assignments, and complete other work from absences due to illness or school business.

What will the schedule look like?

What will be offered during this time?

During this time, students will be able to receive academic help from teachers. Some students may not need additional help, and will be able to work on assignments for classes, long term projects, or participate in study groups. ALL teachers will be in their classroom starting at 7:50 ready to work with students.

What will be offered during this time?

As we move further into the school year, we hope to be able to offer sessions on college application essay writing, Financial Aid application assistance, and opportunities to learn college and career skills such as banking, job searches, budgeting, and much more!

Zero Hour will also be a time for some clubs and other student organizations to meet.

Does this change school start and dismissal times?

No. School will still start at 8:00 and dismiss at 3:13. School doors will be unlocked each day at 7:15. Students arriving before 7:50 will be allowed on the courtyard or in the cafeteria.

Will bus routes be different?

This schedule change will not affect bus routes.
