CHS Marching Band To Perform in National Independence Day Parade

June 28, 2018

The Cabot High School Marching is set to perform in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. They will be performing a patriotic medley.

The band will leave Cabot Monday, July 2nd, and return Sunday, July 8th. About 175 kids will be making the trip. This is the band's fifth time to participate in the Fourth of July Parade in the past 15 years.

Students have been practicing hard and look forward to making the trip. Along with performing in the parade, students will have the opportunity to visit monuments and memorials, attend “A Capitol Fourth” celebration on the Capitol Lawn, watch the National Fireworks, and visit the Marine Barracks.

Three drum majors will also perform at a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

Good luck and safe travels to our CHS Marching Band!
