Cabot Athletes Honored at All AR Preps Banquet

Five Cabot student athletes were recently honored for being among the best of the best in the state.

Connor Gaunt, Lauren Turner, Ashlyn Spears, Aubrey Lee, and Houston King were recognized at the 2017-2018 Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's All Arkansas Preps Award Banquet.

The banquet was held at the Statehouse Convention Center Saturday, June 16, and honored 400 of the best high school athletes and coaches across the state in twelve sports.

Recipients were chosen by Arkansas Democrat-Gazette sports department staff members. 

American track and field great Jackie Joyner-Kersee was the featured guest speaker for the event. Joyner-Kersee won three Olympic gold medals and numerous national titles during her record-setting career.
