"Spirit of Spillane" Scholarship Awarded at Senior Breakfast

May 16, 2018

The first ever graduating class from the Cabot Freshman Academy returned for one last "Senior Breakfast," and a very special scholarship was awarded to a CHS senior.

The first ever, "Spirit of Spillane" scholarship, honoring Principal Tanya Spillane, was awarded to senior Kaitlyn Campbell. Kaitlyn has shown perseverance through her own battle with cancer.

Cabot Scholarship Foundation Chairman John C. Thompson and Mrs. Spillane's husband, Mickey Spillane, presented the $1,000 scholarship.

Seniors also had the opportunity to share their plans after graduation and leave words of advice for freshman academy students.

Thank you to all the community members and businesses for donating food, money, and gift cards to make this event a memorable one for the Class of 2018!
