Cabot Students Honored for Artwork at Governor’s Mansion

May 4, 2018

The Governor's Mansion Association and First Lady Susan Hutchinson sponsored this year's Governor's Young Artist Exhibit Competition.  The theme of this year's competition is Natural Wonders.

The competition was open to all Arkansas public, private, charter, and homeschooled students in grades 9-12.  Five Cabot High School young artists and a student from the Cabot Freshman Academy had work accepted into the exhibit which was on display at the Governor's Mansion through the month of April.

Parents, teachers, and school administrators recently attended the awards reception at the Governor's Mansion. At the reception, two CHS artists, Sydney Bufford and Ivy Westmoreland, received special awards for their efforts.
