Panther PRiDE Celebration 2018
May 3, 2018
Cabot Middle School South and Cabot Middle School North 5th grade students recently celebrated their successful completion of the “Refuse to Use” Panther Resisting Drugs Education (PRiDE) Program.
The drug resistance curriculum educates students about the damaging effects of drugs and substance abuse. It also helps equip students with the needed refusal skills to fight peer pressure.
The celebration took place Friday, April 27st, in the Cabot High School Fine Arts Auditorium. Cabot Mayor Bill Cypert, Ward Mayor Art Brooke, and Austin Mayor Bernie Chamberlain attended the event.

Members of the Cabot Police Department, including Chief Jackie Davis, as well as Lonoke County Sheriff's Deputies, and Cabot School Resources Officers also participated in the celebration. The sheriff's office also provided a K-9 demonstration with K-9 Storm.

Cabot Junior High forensics students presented a reader's theatre performance about the dangers of drugs. Mickey Spillane provided music and entertainment.
Freshman Academy School Resource Officer Sergeant John Dodd also spoke to the students. He works closely with our kids and the PRiDE Program. Thank you Sergeant Dodd for your hard work and dedication to our students.
