Cabot Scholarship Foundation’s Roast & Toast Banquet 2018 - Photo Albums
March 12, 2018
It was a packed house, as 600 students, parents, and community members attended the annual Cabot Scholarship Foundation's “Roast and Toast” Banquet at CJHN recently.
The event recognized 119 Cabot High School seniors who received $129,400 in scholarships from the Cabot Scholarship Foundation. These scholarships were made possible thanks to community members, businesses, and some of our very own district employees who contribute money out of their paychecks every month to fund scholarships for students. In fact, district employees contributed to twenty scholarships this year.

Since the Cabot Scholarship Foundation was formed in 1992, the non-profit has awarded more than $1 million dollars to Cabot seniors!
The night was also a celebration of this year's honoree, Senator Eddie Joe Williams. Senator Williams began his career in public service in Cabot where he served as mayor from 2007-2010. He was elected to the Arkansas Senate in 2010. Senator Williams currently serves on the Southern States Energy Board. He was appointed by President Donald J. Trump on November 16, 2017.

Governor Asa Hutchinson, Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman, and Jacksonville Mayor Gary Fletcher roasted Senator Williams and shared many memories and moments of laughter.
Congratulations to Senator Williams and all the 2018 Cabot High School seniors who were awarded scholarships this year. Also, a big thank you to the Cabot Scholarship Foundation and all the individuals and businesses for contributing to these scholarships.
