CHS Semester Test Exemption Policy Updated

February 21, 2018

The Cabot School Board voted to update the Cabot High School Semester Test Exemption Policy for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year.

Updated Policy:

Students in grades 10-12 shall qualify to be exempt from taking the semester test in a class when they have: (a) maintained a “B” average for the semester; (b) absent 8 days or less (combined parent and doctor excused absences); and (c) not been suspended from school. All absences except those designated as school business will be counted in determining eligibility for the exemption. For the purpose of this policy, the definition of school business is a student's absence from the physical school facility while under the supervision of school personnel for a school or academic-related activity.

This policy can be found on page 69 of the Student Handbook.
