First Electric Cooperative $23,000 Check Benefits Students
January 3, 2018
The Cabot School District received an early holiday present just before semester break. First Electric Cooperative District Manager Karen Southerland and Marketing & Development Representative David Copeland presented Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman with a capital credit refund check in the amount of $23,088.55.
First Electric Cooperative has always had a great partnership with the Cabot School District. The company and their employees are extremely involved in our schools teaching students about safety. They also work closely with our staff.
First Electric is a service-driven electric provider and returns any profits to members. Revenue collected that is not needed to cover the cost of providing service is assigned back to members based on the amount of electricity used during the year.
First Electric has now refunded more than $95.6million dollars to their members. The money from the refund check will go back into the district's operation funds and benefit our students.

Thank you First Electric Cooperative!
