November School Board Recognition 2017

December 4, 2017

Several talented artists were honored at the November School Board meeting.

Lonoke County Hometown Health Poster Contest Winners

Eleven Cabot elementary students were recognized by the Cabot School Board in November for winning the Lonoke County Hometown Health Coalition's Healthy Community Poster contest. The theme was to draw a Healthy Tobacco Free Community.

About 500 students entered the contest and 11 of our amazingly talented elementary students won! Each student was recently surprised at school and they received a gym bag full of goodies including art supplies and a t-shirt.

Congratulations to these students:

Northside Reader's Theater

Third grade students at Northside Elementary also entertained school board members and those in attendance at the board meeting. Students performed a reader's theater about the importance of trees! The Arkansas Forestry Commission recently planted several trees on the playground at Northside Elementary.

*Eastside Elementary also surprised school board members with holiday hats and invitations to their Polar Express celebration.
