CHS Publishing Staff Wins National Awards

December 4, 2017

Cabot High School's Newspaper and Yearbook staffs recently attended the National High School Journalism convention (NHSJC) in Dallas, Texas. Members had the opportunity to experience journalism based workshops, enter competitions, and learn from national renowned guest speakers.

Senior and Yearbook staff photographer Hudson Sanders received Excellent in the Photography Portfolio category. Senior and Newspaper Editor-In-Chief Drew Griebel received Honorable Mention in Sports Writing. These national awards added to the collection of awards brought home from last year's convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Members also received new ideas for the school newspaper, "The Panther Tale," which will be seen in the next issue on December 16th. Panther Yearbook staff attended several workshops and sessions. Don't forget the 2018 CHS Yearbook will be distributed on April 26, 2018.

Current junior staff members are already preparing for next year's conference.
