Tigers and Boll Weevils for Three Senior Athletes

May 12, 2017

Before seniors leave Cabot High School and graduate, friends and family gathered to watch three student athletes sign letters of intent with Arkansas schools to play college sports.

Congratulations to Camryn Harmon (Basketball – UAM), Michael Shepherd (Baseball – OBU) and Jennifer Wallace (Cheer – OBU).

Camryn Harmon, along with parents Rick and Lori, has committed to play basketball next fall for the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Camryn is excited to continue the family legacy. Her sister also attends UAM and her mother is a UAM graduate. Camryn has been playing basketball since a young age and is looking forward to playing at the next level and learning and growing as an athlete. Camryn says if it wasn't for great coaching, she wouldn't be where she is today.

Michael Sheperd, with parents Anthony & Laura, signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Ouachita Baptist University. Michael has been playing baseball his entire life. When asked why he chose OBU, he stated it was a good school and was looking forward to getting a good education and continuing to play ball. Michael plans to double major in Biology and Kinesiology.

With family by her side, our final senior to sign was Jennifer Wallace. Jennifer plans on attending and cheering for Ouachita Baptist University in the fall. Jennifer liked the small and personable environment at OBU and is looking forward to this new chapter in her life. Jennifer has been cheering since the eighth grade and is excited to cheer for bigger crowds and to continue doing what she loves. Jennifer is majoring in Biology and plans on attending Optometry School.

This week has been a great one for Cabot High School and our student athletes! Congratulations again Camryn, Michael, and Jennifer!
