May 1, 2017
Congratulations to Cabot High School's Ivy Monroe. Ivy is a Career and Technical Education student. She was surprised at school Monday with a $1,000 scholarship from the National Technical Honor Society.
This is the first time a student from Cabot High School has received this scholarship. Ivy has completed all necessary courses for the Web Design program through CHS's Business Technology Department and is recognized as a completer in this pathway.
Through this program, Ivy was able to obtain multiple CIW Web Design certifications. She has also received multiple MOS Master Certifications in Office 2010.

Ivy will graduate this year with High Honors. She is an Arkansas Distinguished Governor's Scholar and will attend Hendrix College pursing a degree in Accounting. Ivy is one of 225 outstanding NTHS members to receive a $1,000 Jon H. Poteat Scholarship. The Jon H. Poteat Scholarship, named in honor and memory of the co-founder of the society, is awarded annually to NTHS members who consistently exemplify the seven character attributes of the National Technical Honor Society – Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership.
Since its founding in 1984, the National Technical Honor Society has awarded more than $1.4 million in scholarships to remarkable CTE students nationwide.
Congratulations Ivy Monroe!
