Congratulations to our 10 National Merit FINALISTS!
February 15, 2017
Our 10 Cabot National Merit Semifinalists are now National Merit Finalists for the 2016-2017 school year.
The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter this program by taking the Preliminary SAT and by achieving a particular score on the exam. There are around 1.5 million students that participate in this exam every year. Of those students, about 16,000, or 1% of the total graduating seniors, have scores which qualify them as Semifinalists.

For Arkansas, the selection index was a score of 213 out of a possible 228. There are 144 Semifinalists in the state this year, and 10 of those are from Cabot. Of the 44 schools that have NMSQ students, Cabot's total places them 5th in the state.
Congratulations to our 10 National Merit Finalists! We are very proud of you.
