CHS AFJROTC Unit Evaluation

The Cabot High School AFJROTC recently participated in a Unit Evaluation. Congratulations to all of our cadets for demonstrating professionalism during their recent inspection.

Some of the items the 181 cadets were evaluated on include uniform inspection, drill, and the overall ROTC program.

Lt Col Doug Haven is pleased to announce the CHS AFJROTC was rated a Meets Standards. They had a commendable 10 sub-categories that were rated as Exceeds Standards. In the words of their Regional Director, Mr. Wayne Barron, the result was a “high Meets Standards.”  Mr. Barron was impressed with our facilities, administrative support at all levels, and the “Excellence” of our cadets.  Lt Col Haven said they did have three minor discrepancies and he is extremely proud of the unit for their commitment and hard work.

  

In addition, Mr. Barron presented Top Performer certificates to the top 2% of our Cadet Corps:

Congratulations to Cadet Col Sharjeel Hyder, Cadet Lt Col Tommy Guthrie, Cadet Lt Col Anna Jensen, and Cadet Maj David Evans.

These outstanding cadets are just a few of the students who dedicate countless hours of their time and energy ensuring we have the best program possible. 

Lt Col Haven would like to personally thank the rest of the Group Staff, Cadet Lt Col Sid Carter, Cadet Lt Col Preston Schluterman and Cadet Lt Col Jeffrey Ray, along with their teacher's aides for all their hard work. Lt Col Haven says the CHS AFJROTC program remains committed to the high standard they've established at Cabot High School and remain dedicated to serving our school, community, and nation with honor.

During their exit conference, CHS Principal Henry Hawkins says Mr. Barron communicated he would be nominating Lt Col Haven for Instructor of the Year.

Congratulations again to Lt Col Haven and our outstanding program and cadets. We are extremely proud of you!
