Cabot Facebook Group Raises Money for Students

Emily Ferrill with Restaurant Reviews of Cabot presented the district with a $1050 check Friday. The money will be used to help families in need pay fees throughout the school year. 

The group started their fundraising efforts by selling t-shirts in April. The shirts are sponsored by 13 local restaurants and encourage people to eat and support Cabot businesses. In about four months they raised $1050 and wanted 100% of the proceeds to go to the school district to help families that may have trouble paying fees.

Ferrill says money raised from selling the rest of the shirts will also benefit students in the Cabot School District.
