June 16, 2016
Recently, the Motor Vehicle Commission awarded close to $150,000 in funds to grant recipients for the newly created Education & Training Grant Program.
Cabot High School was awarded $11,000 and was one of twelve secondary and post-secondary institutions to receive a grant.

Governor Asa Hutchinson presented the award to CHS Automotive Technology Instructor Bill McReynolds who wrote the grant.
The purpose of the Education & Training Grant Program is to provide funds to assist institutions that offer education and training, primarily in the field of vehicle service and maintenance, in improving their training programs with the goal of growing the available workforce for the future.
Mr. McReynolds says he plans to use the grant money to buy a Hunter HawkEye Alignment Machine to help teach students front end alignments, steering and suspension.
