Tony’s Regatta 2016: Hundreds of Pictures!
May 26, 2016

The end of the school year finished with a huge splash!
On Tuesday, hundreds of district employees headed to the new Cabot Aquatic Water Complex for Tony's Regatta. The event included a cardboard boat race where 19 teams competed.
There was also a Cannonball contest and Watermelon Plunge.
In the end, Cabot Junior High South took home the Pride of the Fleet trophy for having the fastest race time. They managed to cross the pool in 16.18 seconds. Trophies were given out at the End of Year district meeting.
The Titanic Award for the fastest boat to sink was given to Technology.
The Most Creative award went to The Pantteri from Northside Elementary.
The Cannonball winner with the biggest splash was awarded to Director of Technology Andy Martin.
The Watermelon Plunge winners included Shonda Westbrook and Michael Byrd.
Thank you to our judges, Cabot Mayor Bill Cypert, Senator Eddie Joe Williams, and Cabot School Board member Sarah Owen. Another big thank you also goes out to Kelly Spencer and Megan Head for coordinating the fun activities and to Mickey Spillance for being the DJ and emcee of the event.
We'd also like to give a huge thank you to Cabot Parks and Recreation for letting us use their new facilities and sharing it with our families. Everyone had a wonderful time!
