2016 Cabot High School Graduation: 300 Pictures

May 26, 2016

It was an exciting night as 656 students graduated from Cabot High School on May 20th.

The graduation ceremony for the “Class of 2016” was held at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock. More than 7,000 family and friends packed the arena to watch their graduate walk across the stage.

Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman opened the ceremony by welcoming guests and expressing how proud he was of the graduating class.

Salutatorian Emily Bowie recalled how the class has made so many happy memories and that high school has been an unforgettable experience for so many reasons. She encouraged her classmates to keep moving forward and to keep climbing those mountains because the view from the top is pretty spectacular.

Valedictorian Adam Stivers spoke about being a loser and hard work. He says even though he knows he's not the strongest, fastest, best looking, or the smartest person, he can be just as successful as those who are through hard work. His advice to the Class of 2016, to learn from your mistakes, work hard, and find someone to smack you in the head and keep you focused.

Following the speeches, Cabot High School Principal Henry Hawkins along with his assistant principals called students on stage while Cabot School Board President Brian Evans presented them with their diplomas.

Former Cabot School Board Member and veteran Mr. Fred Campbell spoke during the changing of the tassel. Principal Hawkins then presented the Class of 2016.
