CHS PALS Program Reels in Great Time!
May 16, 2016

Some Cabot High School students reeled in a great time recently with their elementary PALS.
PALS or Partners in Active Learning is a National FFA Organization program. This is the 25th anniversary at Cabot High School. In fact, CHS was one of only 13 schools in the nation selected to pilot the program.
On Monday, about 100 high school students paired up with about 200 second-fourth grade PALS for the annual “Hook on Fishing, not on Drugs,” fishing derby at the Cabot Community Pond.
PALS mentors young students about the science and business of agriculture. They also serve as positive role models and even help students with homework.
A special treat for this year's event was the presence of a race car owned and operated by one of our junior PALS students. Rebekah Harris has raced for several years and she has committed to donating half of her winnings this year to the CHS PALS program.
Last year, Rebekah raised more than $4,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the year before she raised almost $3,000 for breast cancer research.
Way to go Rebekah!
