Three Special Recognitions Presented at Panther Arena

March 3, 2016

At a recent Cabot basketball game, three special recognitions were presented to two faculty members and a CHS team for their outstanding work and dedication.

Coach Carla Crowder, Lady Panthers Basketball Coach, recently earned a victory over the West Memphis Lady Devils and that win was Coach Crowder's 800th victory!  We congratulate Coach Crowder for achieving this outstanding milestone in coaching.

Jason Cates, Head Athletic Trainer for Cabot School District, is the founding member of the Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) Sports Medicine Advisory Committee and currently serves as its chairman. To salute his involvement in state and national endeavors and accomplishments, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFSHS) in grateful recognition of service and contribution in support of the AAA and sports medicine initiatives, presented Mr. Cates with the NFHS State Award for Outstanding Service.

The Boys' and Girls' High School Bowling Teams competed at the 7A State Championship and brought both titles back to Cabot! This is the fifth consecutive win for the boys and the first back-to-back win for the girls. It's also the girls fifth overall win.

Many deserving awards presented! Congratulations once again Coach Crowder, Jason Cates, and the Cabot High School Bowling Team!
