More Than 100 Seniors Surprised with $112,550 in Scholarships
February 29, 2016

Dozens of Cabot High School seniors were excited to be called out of class Monday.
That's because the Cabot Scholarship Foundation announced 109 seniors have been awarded scholarships totaling $112,550. However, the students will not find out the name or amount of their award until the Cabot Scholarship Foundation's Twenty-First Annual Roast & Toast Banquet on March 10th. The scholarships range from $500 to $2,000.
This year's honoree for the Roast & Toast Banquet is Dr. Martha Ann Ray Marshall. Dr. Marshall is a 1962 graduate of Cabot High School and is celebrating her 46th year in education.
Individual tickets for the Roast & Toast are $30.00 and a table for eight is $240.00. Tickets are available for purchase at the Cabot High School Office (501-843-3562) or from the following board members: John C. Thompson, Nina Butler, Fred Campbell, Carole Jones, Stephen Tipton, Mike Verkler, and Angela Wallace.
About 300 seniors applied for these scholarships and many of the winners plan to enter the medical field, become teachers, business leaders and engineers.
Congratulations to these outstanding seniors!
