Power Panthers — Feb. 5th
February 8, 2016

Fifty “Power Panthers” took center court at last Friday's basketball game. The students were recognized for their outstanding work in and out of the classroom.
“Power Panthers” is a student recognition program sponsored by the Cabot Panther Foundation and the Cabot School District. The program honors students in the third through sixth grades who have demonstrated the power and motivation to improve or excel in academics, behavior or citizenship.
Students who received this honor were nominated by a building administrator or staff member. Every Power Panther received tickets to attend the basketball game, a Power Panther t-shirt, and coupons for the concession stand.
Prior to being recognized on the court, students gathered in the auditorium to hear from some district leaders. Supt. Dr. Thurman welcomed the students and their parents. Senior athlete Peyton Glisson, who recently signed a letter of intent to play football at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and Cabot High School Football Coach Jason Rogers spoke about the importance of hard work and achieving goals.
Congratulations to all our Power Panthers!
