CMSS Frontier Festival - Photo Albums

November 6, 2015

The 19th Annual Cabot Middle School South Frontier Festival was held Friday, October 30th, at CMSS in Cabot.

The day began at 6:45 a.m. with a pioneer breakfast in the cafeteria. Throughout the day, 5th grade students experienced hands-on learning provided by reenactors and specialists from the Early Arkansaw Reenactors Association, the History Helpers, the Mississippi Valley Living History Program, and other reenactors.

The school campus was transformed to early 1800s Arkansas with the authentic log cabin in the front serving as a backdrop. Students and faculty dressed in pioneer attire.

The project is supported in part by a grant from the Arkansas Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
