Student Recognition
JC Marsh - Westside Elementary

JC Marsh, a third grader at Westside Elementary, has made great progress this year both academically and socially. He has grown two levels on his state wide testing scores all due to his attitude and effort. JC started out the year with daily check in and outs and has finished his year with removing all accommodations for himself. He has been self-reflective and an advocate for his own change and others. Not only has he made a great deal of progress for himself this year, he has encouraged others through the year to make positive progress for themselves. JC is the best side of Westside!

Ethan Hall Tucker - Magness Creek Elementary

Ethan Hall Tucker, a fourth grade student at Magness Creek Elementary and a school choice student from Romance, Arkansas, has shown exceptional growth in all subject areas during his time at our school. When Ethan first arrived last year, he came with academic deficits, therapies, interventions, and often expressed frustration and sadness about not being able to read. Through hard work, determination, and support from his teachers and family, Ethan has made tremendous progress and is now performing on grade level in all subjects. Most impressively, he recently scored above grade level in reading on state testing, demonstrating the incredible growth, perseverance, and confidence he has developed.
