New Era for Cabot Football: Coach Lance Clark Introduced

Cabot Public Schools officially introduced Lance Clark as the new Head Football Coach of the Cabot Panthers during a press conference held Thursday at the Cabot Fieldhouse, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Cabot Football.

Coach Clark was named head coach earlier that day and takes over the program from Scott Reed, who recently announced he will be dedicating his full attention to serving as Cabot’s Athletic Director. Reed has served Cabot in dual roles as Head Football Coach and Athletic Director since 2019.

Superintendent Michael Byrd welcomed those in attendance and expressed his appreciation to Athletic Director Scott Reed and Cabot High School Principal Mike Falcinelli for their leadership and hard work throughout the coaching search process. He also shared his excitement about welcoming Coach Clark and his family to the Cabot community. As part of the introduction, Byrd presented Coach Clark with a Cabot Panthers jersey bearing the number 26, symbolizing 2026 and the beginning of a new chapter for Cabot Football.

During the press conference, Coach Clark shared his enthusiasm for joining Cabot and outlined his vision for the future of Cabot Football, emphasizing the importance of culture, accountability, and building strong relationships within the program.

Following the press conference, Coach Clark met with members of the media and then spent time with Cabot coaches and players - shaking hands, building connections, and officially beginning his journey as a Cabot Panther.

Coach Clark will also be introduced to Panther fans and the community during halftime of the girls’ basketball game on Friday, January 30, providing the public an opportunity to meet and welcome Cabot’s new Head Football Coach.
