Scott Reed to Lead Cabot Athletics Full-Time

Cabot, AR - With a focus on long-term leadership and continued growth, Scott Reed is excited to announce that he will be dedicating his full attention to serving as Cabot’s Athletic Director. Coach Reed will play a key role in leading the search to identify the next head football coach of the Cabot Panthers.

Reed has served Cabot in dual roles as Head Football Coach and Athletic Director since 2019, providing steady leadership and oversight during a period of growth and transition for the district’s athletic programs.

Coach Reed has been an incredible coach and leader for Cabot,” said Superintendent Michael Byrd. “Our athletic programs are extensive, and the demands of overseeing them continue to grow. Coach Reed’s request to focus fully on the Athletic Director role positions our entire athletics department for long-term success. It ensures our student-athletes, coaches, and programs receive the support they deserve.”

During his tenure as Athletic Director, Reed has overseen athletics across multiple campuses, supported coaches at every level, and worked closely with school leaders to enhance facilities, operations, and opportunities for student-athletes throughout the district.

“This has always been about doing what’s best for Cabot,” Reed said. “I’m proud of our football program and incredibly proud of the broader athletic culture we continue to build here. Focusing fully on the Athletic Director role allows me to serve all of our coaches and student-athletes. I’m excited about what’s ahead.”
