At October's Cabot School Board meeting, we had the honor of recognizing several outstanding students and staff members!

National Merit Semifinalists
Congratulations to our 2026 National Merit Semifinalists! These four outstanding Cabot High School students were recognized at Tuesday's Cabot School Board meeting! Congratulations to Hudson Merrick, Aidan Patten, Nathanael Reedy, and Shelby Smith. These four outstanding seniors scored in the top 1-percent nationally on the PSAT!

The state of Arkansas had 134 National Merit Semifinalists this year, and four of those are from Cabot High School.

Greyson Novenario – Cabot Middle School North

Greyson is the kind of student every teacher hopes to have in class. He is kind, hardworking, and consistently does the right thing—not for recognition, but because it’s simply who he is. His curiosity and thoughtful questions inspire others, and his determination sets an example for his peers.

Greyson leads by doing. Whether in the classroom or the hallway, he treats others with respect and makes those around him better. His quiet leadership and genuine character reflect the best of what it means to be a Panther.

Mrs. Sharon Hale – Cabot Middle School North

Mrs. Hale exemplifies what it means to serve with compassion and excellence. She goes above and beyond to ensure every student and teacher feels supported, valued, and encouraged. Her knowledge and kindness make a difference daily, from guiding instructional practices to working one-on-one with students.

Her impact reaches far beyond academics - she builds confidence, provides encouragement, and lifts others through her positivity and care. Mrs. Hale’s heart for people and commitment to doing what’s best for kids make her an invaluable part of the CMSN family.

Clayton Davis – Stagecoach Elementary

Clayton is a hardworking third grader who radiates kindness and positivity. He greets every day with a smile and encourages those around him to do their best. His teachers say his determination and drive have helped him grow tremendously this year - especially in reading, where he’s made remarkable progress through persistence and practice.

Outside the classroom, Clayton is a talented cowboy who loves riding horses and showing his creativity. He’s known for being a great friend - kind, funny, and always there when someone needs him. Clayton’s heart, effort, and spirit make him a wonderful example of what it means to be a Stagecoach Stallion!

April Lawson – Stagecoach Elementary

In just her second year of teaching, Mrs. Lawson has already made an incredible impact. Her energy, creativity, and heart for kids shine through in everything she does. She builds strong relationships with her students, inspiring them to grow and believe in themselves.

Mrs. Lawson continually goes above and beyond - arriving early to support students, designing engaging lessons, and challenging herself to improve each day. She’s also pursuing her master’s degree and is part of the Arkansas Leadership Academy’s Teacher Leader Program. A devoted wife and mom of five, April somehow balances it all with grace, humor, and a contagious enthusiasm for learning.
