Cabot Public Schools Meets State Standards: What is Full Accreditation?

May 8, 2025

Cabot School District Earns Full State Accreditation - Class Size & Teacher Workload Rules & Finances Among Areas Reviewed

We are proud to announce that the Cabot School District has been officially recommended for full accreditation for the 2024–2025 school year by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). This recognition means our district meets all state standards for providing a high-quality education in a safe, well-managed environment.

Why This Matters to You
State accreditation is more than a checklist—it reflects our commitment to excellence in academics, student support, operations, communication, and safety. Most importantly, it confirms we are in full compliance with class size limits and teacher workload laws, which are essential to maintaining focused, effective classrooms.

Key Areas Reviewed:

  1. Academics & Class Size Compliance – Students receive instruction aligned to Arkansas standards, and we strictly follow class size and teacher load requirements to ensure quality learning environments.
  2. Student Support Services – Every student has access to services like special education, gifted programs, counseling, and health services.
  3. District Operations & Finances – We maintain responsible financial practices and comply with all operational guidelines.
  4. Qualified Staff – All educators are properly licensed and supported with ongoing professional development.
  5. Family & Community Engagement – We prioritize communication and meaningful involvement with families.
  6. Facilities & Transportation – Clean, safe, and efficient facilities and transportation are a top priority.

Bottom Line
If a district does not meet class size rules, it cannot be accredited. Cabot does—and this recognition proves we’re doing what’s best for students and teachers.

Thank You
This achievement is thanks to the hard work of our educators, staff, and the ongoing support from Cabot families. We’re honored to serve your children and will continue striving for excellence every day.
